The problem is that I have a dual monitor. On my secondary monitor Dell M, x , I'm getting a stuttering mouse cursor when navigate the mouse when it's caotured inside the Virtual PC virtual machine and it's windowed.

The only workaround right now is to make the VM fullscreen. The issue does not occur on the primary monitor, windowed or full screen. Is there a way how to fix the stuttering mouse cursor issue when the mouse is captured inside the VM window? Does the problem occur even after applying the patch KB see the above instructions? I am aware of a stuttering mouse cursor issue on Windows 8. I tried to apply the KB patch and I get a error stating that "The update is not applicable to your computer".

I had Windows 8. So yeah, this stuttering mouse bug does occur even if I have the KB patch, but it happens only when the mouse is captured inside the windowed VM on the second monitor. Therefore, you raise another issue. I tried to add the following: 1. I opened up the Registry Editor.

Last edited by Big Monstro on 29 Dec , edited 1 time in total. And guess what? Virtual PC works on Windows 10 x86! Follow the procedure for Windows 8. I guess you use the bit edition, since you don't need to replace vmm.

I believe as this is how I understand Hyper-V that it inserts itself between the hardware and the host OS as well, thereby making the host OS virtualised as well.

Quite a novel approach really. It seems odd considering there isn't a technical reason that would be true. It actually should be the case where it is possible in bit and not in the bit operating system.
